Fun with a Grassmaster
I've been adding grass to the tracks in Port Rowan on my home layout:
Trevor, I really like the result, I did something similar once, not using the static grass applicator but similar result. However I have done the grass before ballasting the tracks, I found that it looks like the grass was actually growing from the gravel and dirt. You should try it on another section.
